Über die Künstlerin
Antje Lantelme lebt und arbeitet in Berlin.
Im Mittelpunkt ihrer Arbeit steht die keramische Skulptur. Aus Ton entstehen Köpfe, Kugeln und Installationen, die sich mit Veränderung, Zeit und den Spuren materieller Prozesse beschäftigen.
Ein wesentlicher Teil ihrer Arbeit ist der Pitfire - und Saggarbrand. Feuer wird dabei zum Mitgestalter und hinterlässt auf der Keramik Oberflächen, die sich nur teilweise kontrollieren lassen. Jede Arbeit trägt die Spuren ihrer Entstehung.
Nicht die perfekte Form steht im Mittelpunkt, sondern der Moment der Verwandlung. Material, Zeit und Feuer verändern die Oberfläche und werden selbst Teil des Werkes.
Antje Lantelme ist Mitglied im Kunst Raum Steglitz e. V., im Kunstverein KunstHaus Potsdam e. V. sowie bei Crossart International. Ihre Arbeiten werden regelmäßig in Ausstellungen und Kunstprojekten präsentiert.
About the Artist
Antje Lantelme lives and works in Berlin.
The focus of her practice is ceramic sculpture. Working with clay as her primary material, she creates heads, spheres and installations that explore transformation, time and the traces left by material processes.
Pit firing and saggar firing are essential parts of her artistic practice. Fire becomes a co-creator, leaving surfaces that can only be controlled to a limited extent. Each work carries the traces of its own making.
Rather than pursuing perfect form, her work focuses on the moment of transformation. Material, time and fire shape the surface and become integral parts of the artwork.
Antje Lantelme is a member of Kunst Raum Steglitz e. V., KunstHaus Potsdam e. V. and Crossart International. Her work is regularly presented in exhibitions and art projects.
